We also follow the USAP approved-equipment list closely so a pick will not get you turned away at a sanctioned event.
Who writes these picks
DinkRun is written and maintained by its editorial team. We publish under the DinkRun name rather than a personal byline, because our rankings come from documented research rather than one person's hands-on experience. Where a specification, measurement, or figure appears in a guide, it comes from the manufacturer or a cited source, not from our own bench.
What we score on
Every pick is judged on the same criteria. We weight them by what actually matters for the way you will use the gear, then write up the tradeoffs honestly.
Playstyle match
Whether a paddle leans control, power, or spin, read from face material, core thickness, and shape, and which skill level that combination serves best.
Forgiveness
Sweet-spot size inferred from face dimensions, shape, and core construction, cross-checked against how owners describe off-center hits.
Feel and feedback
Touch at the kitchen, pop on drives, and hand shock, assessed from core thickness, handle length, and grip specs alongside consistent player reports.
Durability
Face and core longevity, weighing documented delamination and core-crush reports against the warranty terms the manufacturer publishes.

How our picks work
Each category roundup is ranked by our editorial score. The highest-scored option carries the Top Pick badge. Separately, the option that delivers the most for the money carries the Best Value badge. They are often different products on purpose: the best-scored is not always the smartest buy for most people, and we tell you which is which.
What we never do
